Three Point Visuals

The house is nestled into a rural sloping site that has uninterrupted views across the North Channel to Scotland. The house has been designed to manage the sloping landscape. Voids were created to the side and rear of the lower ground floor which is built into the hillside. This solution reduces the necessity for retaining structures, simplifying the design and reduces costs. Steel elements at critical locations support the upper floor which is broken up into a series of smaller volumes, wrapping around a central courtyard.
